Top 5 Parent Picks when visiting Hamilton College:
Clinton Cider Mill - Great to watch how the apple cider is made and they offer delicious apples, hot cider, cider donuts, pies, etc. Open seasonally, parents weekend can be busy, but so worth it.
Root Glen - It is one of the Arboretums on campus and is a gorgeous walk any time of year really. We even like it in the snow, but Autumn is particularly beautiful.
Cooperstown is a short drive from campus. You can visit the Baseball Hall of Fame, but it is also a nice walking village with lots of shops and eateries.
Local restaurants - Across the Row Bistro offers great food and great service. Nola's has a nice Sunday brunch.
Along with several nice Bed and Breakfasts nearby (eg, Amidst the Hedges and Arbor Inn), the Turning Stone Resort has a nice spa and lovely walking trails on the grounds. It's a bit of a drive (about 20 minutes), but offers a nice option.
