The University of Massachusetts Amherst is a large public university located in Amherst, Massachusetts. It is also the designated flagship campus for the entire University of Massachusetts system. About 21,700 undergraduate students attend the school along with 9,800 graduate students. Over 77% of students enrolled are in-state and 23% are out-of-state. Amherst is located in the Pioneer Valley which has amazing restaurants and music. It’s also known for beautiful art, theater, and history making the area such a fun place for students to explore.

Favorite Ice Cream Parlour and Flavor:
Tara - Flayvors of Cook Farm. My favorite flavor is cow spots (vanilla ice cream, fudge swirl, mini pb cups). Flayvors is on a dairy farm and makes their own ice cream, there are even cows and chickens right outside!
Olivia - Hadley Scoop, chocolate.
Samantha - Bluewall's Grill has milkshakes that are a hidden gem. The strawberry is to die for!
Burger Joint and Fries:
Tara - Hangar Pub and Grillhas the best burgers, fries and nachos. They are always streaming sports games, so it's the perfect place to watch Sunday football.
Samantha - Johnny's Roadside Diner.
Vegetarian Hot Spot:
Tara - Nourish Wellness Cafe has the best health food and vegetarian options! I love to get their wellness bowls and smoothies, and their cashew cheese is amazing.
Olivia - Nourish Wellness Cafe.
Samantha - There are so many AMAZING places in Northampton, about 25 mins from campus.
Tara - Antonio's Pizza is the best. I always get avocado quesadilla but they have so many crazy toppings like chicken pesto and tortellini.

Tara - Pulse Cafe! I love eating plant based and at Pulse you would have no idea that some of the dishes are completely dairy and meat free.

Tara - UMass Campus Recreation offers so many great group fitness classes including yoga, spinning, bootcamp and Zumba. I also love Fire and Water in downtown Amherst.

Tara - Earthfoods Cafe. The open space and good music is so welcoming and relaxing. They also have the best vegan food!
