University of Connecticut
The University of Connecticut is a large public university with the main campus in Storrs, Connecticut. The four regional campuses are based Avery Point, Hartford, Stamford, and Waterbury. Approximately 19,200 students are enrolled at the Storrs campus as are 8,300 graduate students while 4,600 undergraduate students are enrolled at the other four locations. UConn is known for their very successful men and women’s basketball programs and it plays a huge part in the students social life. One fun fact is the women’s basketball team holds the record for the most consecutive wins (which is 90 and counting)!
Famous "Husky" alumni include Bobby Moynihan - actor (SNL), Ray Allen - former basketball player, David Ushery - NBC news anchor, Dan Lauria - actor, and Andre Drummond - basketball player (Detroit Pistons).

Fun fact about the University of Connecticut:
Ashley - Aside from how awesome our basketball teams are, there is a rock in the center of campus that's been painted over thousands of times since the 1940's!
Angela - UConn is the basketball capital of the world:)
Favorite Ice Cream Parlour and Flavor:
Noelle - UConn Dairy Bar. The ice cream is made right on site from the campus cows' milk! They also sell local eggs.
Ashley - UConn Dairy Bar, whatever the Senior Scoop is!
Angela - UConn Dairy Bar, banana chocolate chip!
Bakery and Favorite Sweet:
Ashley - Insomnia Cookies, Double Chocolate Chunk Cookies.
Where to Grab a Coffee or Tea:
Noelle - Dog Lane Cafe. Their lattes are a must have and also keep a look out for their daily drink specials which can include a variety of chai lattes, so good! Their food, especially their chili, does not disappoint either. This is a go-to spot for sure!

Finger Licking Good BBQ Spot:
Noelle - Bear's BBQ. Although a little off campus, they are an official UConn sponsor and rightfully so with BBQ like this. Need to have the burnt ends in any form..on nachos, mac and cheese, baked potato, cornbread, and more!
Vegetarian Hot Spot:
Noelle - Nature's Health Stores. I CAN NOT say enough good things about this place! From smoothies, fresh baked goods, sandwiches, pre-made snacks and meals, everyone can find something here! Lots of vegan/DF/GF options too.
Angela - 1 Plate, 2 Plates.
Noelle - Willington Pizza. They offer many unique pizzas such as an award winning red potato pizza loaded with sour cream, broccoli and bacon, and my personal favorite is the cheeseburg pizza topped with pickles, ketchup, mustard and all (trust me on this one).
Ashley -Blaze Pizza, try the green stripe!
Angela - I'm from the New Haven area, Storrs doesn't have any good pizza! At home, I'm a fan of Da Legna in New Haven's Funghi pie!

Noelle - Chuck's Steakhouse & Margarita Grille because you can never go wrong with a margarita.
Ashley - Baja Cafe, Chicken Burrito Bowl.

Noelle - Oriental Cafe. All the bases are covered here, I typically just go for the salmon avocado roll but they have a variety of special rolls to try!
Ashley - Love Art Sushi, you can make your own bowl!
Breakfast Spot with a friend or date:
Noelle - Toast Four Corners. They are known for making their own bread and you taste the difference for sure. The cinnamon swirl bread is a must!
