Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in Blacksburg, Virginia is a large public university and one of the six senior military colleges in the United States. Approximately 25,700 undergraduate and 7,400 graduate students are enrolled at Virginia Tech. The football games are a huge part of campus life for students and faculty. The mascot is the HokieBird or the “Hokie” and the school colors are maroon and orange.

Best Burger Joint & Fries: Blacksburg Taphouse. Their "Ultimate Burger" is huge and so good.
Vegetarian Hot Spot: Gillie's Restaurant. I didn't even realize it was vegetarian at first, they have so many options!
Finger Licking Good BBQ Spot: Top of the Stairs (TOTS), it's a popular bar at night but during the day they serve good food.
Diner and Favorite Entree: Lefty's - not exactly diner style but they have amazing omelettes and pancakes!
Hottest Mexican Spot and Recommended Plate: Cabo Fish Taco, spinach artichoke dip with any of their signature tacos!
Sushi and your go to roll: Green's Grill & Sushi Bar, Rainbow roll.
