What are your favorite gifts you have received or given on Valentine’s Day? We have collected some of our favorites to share with you and yours in case you are drawing a blank this year.
Chocolates – Vintage Plantations. The packaging is absolutely beautiful and the chocolate is exquisite. My personal favorites are the Dark Chocolate with Raspberries, Dark Chocolate with Toasted Almonds and the Milk Chocolate with Sea Salt & Caramel. However, you really can’t go wrong with their chocolate.
Nuts – Suzi’s Gone Nuts offers a healthy, homemade, high-protein snack.
Cheese – Ideal Cheese Shop. With a selection of over 250 cheeses from 17 countries, you will be sure to find a cheese you like. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and always willing to provide suggestions too.
Jams & Conserves – Doves & Figs. The Never Bee Blue fruit and honey sauce recently won a Good Food Award. I like Chocolate fig sunshine and Cape escape.
Duck Mousse with Foie Gras from Les Trois Petits Cochons or Foie Gras from D’Artagnan. My favorite appetizer is a crostini with foie gras topped with a morello cherry in Kirsch brandy.
French Cherries by Griottines – I am addicted to these cherries! Hopefully, my Valentine will surprise me with a jar!
Salts and Salt Block – The Meadow. I love the salt blocks to cook bacon, eggs, scallops or a salt bowl for chocolate fondues.
Milk Bar b’day truffle mix – A great gift for the kids to make their own special after school treats.
Spice Mix – Indi Chocolate offers a delicious selection of spice mixes.
Mike’s Hot Honey – A prefect pairing with cheese.
Sorbet – I just made a grapefruit, honey bell and lemon sorbet for my family for Valentine’s Day. So easy to make and a light and refreshing dessert to cleanse the palate.
Book – Where Chefs Eat, Phaidon. A fellow foodie friend gave this book to me as a gift and I love it! Over 600 chefs worldwide contributed to the book offering us their inside scoops on where they love to eat.
Wine – Château de Beaucastel is one of our favorite wines.
Champagne – I love champagne! Taittinger, Veuve Clicquot and my new favorite, Billecart-Salmon.
Sweater – Wooden Ships. These sweaters are fun and whimsy and look nice on.
Necklace – Do you have a favorite vacation spot, summer holiday, or city you adore? I love my necklace with a nautical map of my favorite summer beach by CHART Metalworks.
Flowers – The arrangements at Posies Turnstyle are elegant yet simple.
Happy Valentine’s Day Shopping!
